It’s on again. Tomorrow, Saturday the 21st of April the Darwin City Council launches it’s 2012 ActivateNT program. This program is aimed at getting people to have a healthier, more active lifestyle. The City council has subsidised and free events around Darwin so that people can get out there and try things that they wouldn’t have before. Like outdoor ping pong or street soccer. If ping pong doesn’t do it for you there are always things like bush walking, yoga, zumba, body balance as well as times where you can go and try out gyms and pools around the city.
The program costs $35 for Adults (cheap as!) and runs from Saturday the 21st of April till Friday the 15th of June. That is 8 full weeks of activities. My mum and I did the program last year and it was great. I highly recommend that you get down to East Point reserve this weekend and take a look at the displays. Take a picnic, make a day of it and you never now, the ping pong display might just win you over!
